After just shy of a year in development, we are proud to announce the first installment of Featherbent is finally here. This particular chapter is the first in a planned series of games, and will take around 20-30 minutes to complete.
Featherbent is a Homestuck AU that has evolved from the initial concept of a single collaborative fanfiction to a visual novel series, complete with illustrations, soundtrack, narration, and a full voice acting cast. A massive thanks to a spectacular cast and crew for their enthusiasm and hard work. For more information, please visit the main website.

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but the little things bother me. John says the feather color of the hunters come in twelve colors (for the twelve troll blood types) but he also says that hes never seen Karkat's wing color before. Assuming that Karkat is counted in the twelve trolls, the different parts seem contradictory to me. I don't mean to seem rude or anything, you all did an amazing job, I'm just curious.
You’re not being rude whatsoever. That’s a nice catch!
Because the evolution of the ruling class does not match that of Homestuck canon, Limefeathers are still a caste that exists.

You know what would be cool? A Featherbent TV Tropes page. Can someone get on this?
On hunters, only the primaries (remiges) are coloured; the primaries gradient from strongest caste colour at the tip to the ‘natural’ wing colour at the calamus. Using Terezi’s as an example;
These are the feathers along the outer edge of a bird’s wing, the largest feathers. They keep birds in flight; I usually just refer to them as flight feathers.
Keep in mind that the hunters will have different ‘natural’ wing colours, because every character is based on a bird. Terezi, for example has the deep grey natural colour because she’s based on the bearded vulture, which have deep grey wings.
So TL;DR characters are based off birds, and they have those birds’ wings with coloured primaries to indicate caste colour if they are a hunter!! Perches have ~~all natural~~ wings because they don’t have a caste system.
